UPDATE: New FDNY Fire Service Access Elevator Requirements
As of September 3, 2021, the FDNY has temporarily suspended the Fire Service Access Elevator (FSAE) Bulletin that went into effect earlier this year. The FDNY expects the Bulletin to be back in effect by the end of November 2021.
Original AKF post from June 23, 2021: The FDNY has issued a bulletin regarding new requirements for high-rise buildings with Fire Service Access Elevators (FSAE) to guide the installation of FSAE fire alarm system interfaces, heat detection, and graphic annunciators. Our Fire & Life Safety team can answer questions about the new requirements and apply them to projects. AKF has already completed one project approved by the FDNY that incorporates these new regulations and features. Let us know how we can help!
