AKF Wins Big at NYSERDA RTEM Hackathon

A round of applause to AKF's own Michael Sweeney and Jeffrey Rios who took first place in "Use Case Innovation" at the NYSERDA Real Time Energy Management (RTEM) Hackathon!

Three dozen entrants were provided a data set of over 200 buildings with nearly 50,000 data points and challenged to propose novel use cases that positively impact or accelerate the electrification and decarbonization of NY commercial and multi-family buildings.

Watch AKF's submission video summary to learn more about our award-winning strategy and proposal. Our approach on this effort aligns with AKF's commitment to Carbon Leadership Forum's MEP 2040 Challenge pledging to reduce carbon on all of AKF's projects. We're so proud to have an Energy + Performance team that is pushing the boundaries of industry electrification and decarbonization! Congratulations to all winners!
