GAP School Project Wins Prestigious USGBC IMPACT Award

In the heart of the Twin Cities, the St. Paul Page Street Project lies at the intersection of sustainability, affordability, and a student training program.

Change Inc.’s Guadalupe Alternative Programs (GAP) School offers high school diploma programs, leadership development, community service opportunities, and hands-on construction training. Together, architects, engineers, and GAP School students are designing and building affordable homes targeting Net Zero Energy to ensure the homes can be purchased and maintained by low-income, multi-generational families.

The first completed house was recently awarded the U.S. Green Building Council's prestigious Malcolm Lewis IMPACT Award celebrating volunteer efforts that champion sustainable buildings and communities. We are so proud to be a part of the pro bono team helping to bring the GAP projects to fruition!
